Instinct as modem – Connect to the internet through your phone on Windows XP


quick tutorial on how to set up your Instinct as a modem on windows xp so that you can have internet access at 3g speeds everywhere you go. i have yet to get my hands on a copy of vista but if i can i will update with new video. THIS VIDEO IS UP FOR DELETION AS OF 11/20/09

    I’m trying to connect my ***laptop internet*** with the xbox live.
    but my **samsung instinct** is giving me internet to my laptop
    is it posible — i can play online with my cell phone connection — thru
    the laptop then to xbox live?????????????
    If someone knows please gave a help over here..5/5.. thanks!!!

    It’s the same as having an aircard.
    This isn’t free internet.
    It costs $64 a month.
    And if you go over it, The charges are alot, trust me. I did it.. :)

    This is legit ppl dont be scared… just dont go telling sprint company of what ur doing.. u should be koo… i got my msl at my friends house. that fo is a computer wizard lol. this works great. no problems. i did this when this guy firt put this video up… i’m just barely commenting on it now lol… anyways THANKS FOR THE P.A.M.     i live in canada and i got unlimited internet with mine, it will still have that limit?? i think it should be unlimited lol but phone companys can be tricky. its with bell

    WARNING!!! There is a 5 Gb per month limit on your internet usage just like an aircard and if you go over that you may be looking at overage charges.

    This really works, the only thing different I had to do, was to go into the properties of the new connection and choose the (samsung) modem, once you do this it will work everytime…and it’s FAST!!!!

    I am writing this comment using my Instinct as a modem as you discribe. When you first set it up you have to turn off your phone, take out the bat. and storage card. Once you reconnect to PC everything worked as planned. 5 star

    I keep getting 692 as well. I have run through your tutorial several times. I went from having 680 to this :S. The strange part is that I can get the bluetooth to work.
