When I partition my HD, the newly parted partition is only a logical partition, thus, I can’t use it to install an operating system, any ideas on how to make it a primary or active partition?

    Thanks in advance.

Hi, when i’m lost at 2:45. When i click on finish, pop up a window saying “The operation you selected will convert the selected basic disk(s) to dynamic disk(s). If you convert the disk(s) to dynamic, you will not be able to start installed operating systems from any volume on the disk(s) (except the current boot volume)…” I click on yes, pop up “Dynamic disks are not supported by this operating system or server configuration. Dynamic disks are not supported on clusters.” Any one can help?

Hi…after shrinking the volume, while i was extending the volume it is showing me the following statement:
If you convert the disk(s) to dynamic you will not be able to start installed OS from any volume on the disk(s) (except current boot volume). Are you sure want to continue?
After clicking Yes, it show s me the next option: Dynamic disk(s) are not supported on clusters.

I am unable to extend my volume..Can you help me?
