Microsoft recommends once a month. It really depends on how much you use your computer and how many files you work with. Once a month is a good standard to start with.

You can. When I go to defrag, it’s usually needed. Remember , most people have never defragged their computer. Analyzing really is not needed at that point. It’s time to just go ahead and get ‘er done.
