Windows Speed Tests (Vista, XP, 2000 &98)
Me unscientifically testing the boot and shutdown times of 4 operating systems running Microsoft Windows. Tests done in Virtual PC 2007 under Windows Vista. Screen recording (screencasting) software was not used to free additional system resources. Done by a 14-year-old kid, so if you don't like it, then that's too bad. —- I didn't really make this video to tell people to use Windows 98. I made it to see if my RAM upgrade was working ok and to learn Adobe Premiere CS3 (I've only used 2.0 before). kthxbye ———- Sorry for the super low quality and my super slow pc (at the time anyway) When I uploaded this Youtube allowed a max video size of 100mb, so I needed to compress it a lot hence the quality.

how are you running all these different versions of windows on 1 computer at the same time. that must take up alot of memory.
February 16th, 2010 17:40
Windows XP and Windows 98 sure are very fast!
February 16th, 2010 17:56

February 16th, 2010 18:35
you’re welcome. anyway, i have experienced that kind of problem before and i solved that so that i decided to share what i did to make my PC run windows 7 with no problems
February 16th, 2010 18:42
@serialkissersband No problem.
February 16th, 2010 19:18
@pcxt21
Thanks for help! Now the device is installed and working!
February 16th, 2010 19:35
@hatsune04
Thanks for the help… i have configured Windows 7 to install the drivers from Windows Update automatically (If, there’s no an integrated driver for my device, windows will search online and install the device driver software)

@tommyevanallen252
Viruses surely await whoever visits the site that you have mentioned.

@serialkissersband
There’s still a way to install your USB Controller. Just find the brand and model of your motherboard by entering your PC’s POST / BIOS Menu Screen. There you can check out what motherboard you’re using and take it down. After knowing your motherboard’s brand and model, you can search it on the internet and go to your motherboard’s manufacturer website to download the drivers you need (e.g. BIOS Updates, Controllers, Chipset Driver, etc.).

Damn i really miss DOS
February 16th, 2010 21:54
Honestly no, at the moment I’m actually running NVidia chipset as well without a problem. What kind of motherboard do you have?(Manufacturer and Model Number) so I can see if your specific board requires something more for windows 7. I know I had to flash my BIOS so the beta would work correctly.
February 16th, 2010 22:05
I have installed all device drivers, all of them.
Do you know of any problem that windows 7 has with NVIDIA chipsets?
February 16th, 2010 22:17
@serialkissersband Perhaps you forgot your motherboard chipset drivers? Seems like that might be it.
February 16th, 2010 22:35
I have installed vista again on my new system because Windows 7 has entered in conflict with some devices on my computer (such as a USB CONTROLER [the device manager says "Unidentified device", error code 43] and a built-in infrared device [again: "Unidentified device" and "the driver software for this device is not installed"] How i will install a driver software for this device if i don´t now what device it is!
February 16th, 2010 23:20
idk much about computers but i would guess that because windows 98 needs like 3x less hardware to function it would run smoother so the times have nothing to do with it not to mention how much more content there is in newer operating systems. but im just talking out my ass lol still nice to see someone take the time to do this
p.s. get a girlfriend lol jking
