If you don’t have an HP you may not have it. Maybe you got CDs with your computer that would have recovery. Or try Windows System Restore, see the other howto4u video on how to do that.

Does this partition have a failsafe as in if it was ever modified it can’t be accessed in order to stop viruses from coming back when you do the system reinstallilling process? Because nothing is worst than doing a system restore and then the process goes wrong so any information over my. Matter is appreciated

    part 2

    windows is loading files…

    (then after few seconds)
    (there’s a vista B&W background with a black window – i think it’s a command window – saying)

    Please wait…

    (very few seconds passed)
(then in a snap of a second it flashes under PLEASE WAIT)

    The command completed successfully
(something is writtem here like …. Version … built Nov 26 2007)
    Setting drive to 0

    part 1.

MY DV5-1155ee just keeps restarting after i completed the recovery.

it completes the recovery 100% as shown in the progressing bar after a couple of minutes.
    i clicked finish

but after that it just keeps restarting itself, it doesn’t boot to Vista

guys please help me out. i did not create any recovery disc because all i know is that the file in the D partition is just fine and sufficient. Do i still need to have recovery disc if the recovery file in D partition is fine and untouched? i think no. So i just proceed recovering without recovery disc and just using the recovery file in D partition.

but now it just keeps on restarting after showing repetitively those mention above.

    guys help me out please!

If it’s and HP or Compaq PC it should work — the Recovery Manager UI might be a little different, but just follow the wizard prompts or go to advanced settings

I think to launch recovery from the Recovery CD (that you would have made or gotten from HP), just insert the CD, then reboot the PC and the recovery should launch automatically from the CD.

So in the advanced options when you hit F11 is there an option to do the system recovery via a cd instead of factory image?

It depends how much Hard Drive space you have, and how old your computer is.
