Dual booting Windows and MacOS on a none Apple machine?
I know how and I would love to do a video BUT it is strictly against Apples EULA to install OSX on a none Apple machine. First thing you are going to want to do is convince Apple to get the stick out of their asses, then I can make that video.
I suggest checking out Linux in the mean time. If you still want to go ahead with it then the process is pretty much similar to this, you make free space and install osx there.
No, deamon tools is a program within windows. To install you need to boot into Linux. You’ll have to burn a cd/dvd or use a flash drive or some other external media.
I use 32 bit Linux(I actually use Mandriva, not Ubuntu). I’ve had problems with 64bit linux in the past so I tend to stay away. Similar process with XP but XP doesn’t have it’s own partition tool so you are going to have to use a 3rd party program like GParted,
It is possible but a little more involved. Google around a bit and you should find something.
Mandriva(the distribution I use) uses hybrid ISOs that can easily be dumped to a flash drive to install. So if you wanted to use that distro it would probably be easier.
Thanks man!
It worked. Now i can dual boot ubuntu and vista.
Ubuntu is really awesome … fastest boot ever!
took a couple hours getting everything how i like it but its so worth it
10 gigs partition, no problems.

You must have downloaded the wrong thing. Wubi is an installer for use in windows that makes installing a dual boot really easy.

Yes, but I believe you have to find a download for a USB version. I’m not entirely sure, so Google it.

Thats a common problem with the way Windows stores files. All I can say is run defrag a few times and possible try a 3rd party defrag program.
If that doesn’t help a clean install would probably be the safest way.
You could use a different partition tool like GParted but I can’t guarantee that all your data will be there afterwards.

You wouldn’t believe the amount of people that would say “what do I do with the ubuntu file” or “how do I put it on a disc”.
You need the image on a disc or some other bootable media to be able to install. It certainly is a part of the subject of installing.

you didn’t have to show the “burn iso” part – just stick w/ the SUBJECT.
