@Factrocks Cool! I was just confused when I tried it first on XP. List disk didnt show my flashdrive… but once I tried vista… everything worked perfectly

@4illegalalien same annoying problem here! I m just after a 2+ hours research with not so good results. probably you are on win xp too. I figured out that in xp, if a drive is marked as “removable” storage, it won’t let it make new partitions, so it won’t appear in the disk list, only if you type “list volume”.

I downloaded several tools which can flip the “type” bytes, so it would change the removable type to local disk, but I ve failed with all… I think there is no solution

i had my windows vista complete files on my flash drive but it wasn’t booting …..i have done your prescribed procedure then copy the files back to flash drive and now its booting from flash drive. ……….:)))) cheers!!!

Note to people who don’t see their USB drive listed in the ‘disk list’: If you’re using Windows XP it will not list any removable drives on that list, that dosen’t mean anything is wrong with your USB, XP just dosen’t show them

After typing “list disk”, it won’t show my USB drive. All other storage is shown but the flash drive. The dude that posted the video still didn’t send me a reply on what it might be. If anyone ran into same problem please help me out.

i am tring to reinstall windows onto a netbook using usb multiboot 10.zip and it’s not readying my usbdrive, my computer reads it, funny thing is i done the same thing a few months back, same flash drive and computer. but i think i was using winvista, now i’m using win7, the net book reads the drive, but doesn’t book from it. i hope this helps. will update later.
