when i put in my vista disc it loads the windows files and just stays on a screen with a windows back ground. theres no option to reinstall windows. its just a mouse pointer and the vista background. anyone know what going on?

All I have is C drive. I can’t shrink the volume because it says the process failed, even though I have 40GB free. Fucking vista sucks balls. The VistaLite CD I made doesn’t boot from CD, it boots to a blank CD, and it gives me no option to “format” disk only to install…and I can’t install it on the drive I already have it installed on. I just want to format my single 300 GB drive and reinstall windows clean like when I got it from newegg.
