I tried what you told me but I cannot seem to find the ethernet controller? Only the Ethernet NIC. Also it seems my SM Bus Controller says “The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)”. But when I can’t reinstall the driver because I don’t have internet access on that comp. Internet is still local only.

Thanks! I tried so many things and this finally worked for me! Everyone suggests doing the network properties thing, but no one suggests going into device manager! Thanks!

November 15th, 2010 22:15
I’ve been trying to figure this out for the last 4 hours and I happened to just click on your video, gave it a shot thinking that my issue was probably going to be deeper than need your suggestion and when I disabled that Pv6 it nearly instantly connected when I unplugged my Ethernet cord from the wireless router to the laptop. Needless to say I thank you very very much.
