put it this way.

ive never been hacked on xp pro and it doesnt have user control.

as long as you got kaspersky or bitdefender total security, nothing will get through your computer.

UAC is a load of shit.

suppose UAC does come up and a file your opening has a virus, how many times will you actually click cancell.
your still going to open the file aint you?

now that im using vista, i turned it off striaght away to make it work like xp as much as possible.

Works on Windows 7 as well, but you can chose the frequency of the confirmations to: High, Medium(default), Low, or Off.

I don’t know. Maybe I’ll keep User Account Control turned on and confirm my actions rather than risking my computer security.

For those who use the UAC, I’ve just uploaded a video describing how to get the same kind of feature in Windows XP…

why they dont put xp? because vista is newer and you know how it is dont you newer = better
more security and everything but more slow

and if your into gaming then it wont make any difference, just configured it correctly and the game will run like before, unless you have no money and cant afford to give the OS like 300more ram then your gonna see decrease in performance
