Fix Code39 On Vista/XP/7 (Fix CD/DVD-ROM Drive)


Follow me on twitter: www.twitter.com Visit My Website: www.nutgoesnerd.webnode.com NOTE After removing these registry keys and rebooting, it may be necessary to reinstall any CD or DVD recording applications. 1) Close all open programs 2) Click on Start, Run, and type REGEDIT and press Enter 3) Click on the plus signs (+) next to the following folders * HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE * SYSTEM * CurrentControlSet * Control * Class * {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} 4) This folder is the DVD/CD-ROM Drive Class Description in the registry. Look for any of the following names in the right hand column. * UpperFilters * LowerFilters * UpperFilters.bak * LowerFilters.bak 5) If any of the above keys shown in step 4 are listed, right-click on them and choose Delete 6) After deleting the keys, close the Registry Editor 7) Reboot your computer 8) Open My Computer and check to see if your CD or DVD drives have returned. You may also want to open Device Manager and verify that the yellow exclamation and error code on the CD or DVD drive is gone.

    Dude you ROCK! Thought I was going to have to buy a new cd player. I deleted lower filters and trouble shooter in XP, rebooted and now it is working. Thank YOU!!!!

    remember RIGHT CLICK DELETE dont be lazy just hit delete it DOES NOT work and if u do screw it up use system restore and that get u back to what u started with and do i it properly it usually does work

    mine does this but i have a program that does all this with regedit all at once it deletes the files in regedit and gives the dvd cd drive a fighting chance to get back to normal when you restart

    Hey thanks for the video. I was wondering I’ve got the exact same code 39 and the exclamation mark on my “network card” and all the drive related to internet. Is this kind of process can work ?
    Im so desperate, I cannot find any way to fix this raah!

    i did exactly wat you said and my cd dvd rom drive still didnt reappear i went to some of the other folders{next to*4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318*}
    and they had some upper filters and lowerfilters should i delete them too.
