I’m sorry, are you 92 years old?

And “windows GUI ideas” don’t make sense, seriously.

vista fails at life and is an embarrassment. sadly microsoft had like 1 bugged OS for every attempt in a new one.
windows 3.0 was debugged to 3.1
windows 95 sucked and 98 switched around
windows me was like a bugged 2000
windows vista was a sad attempt of windows 7

I see a lot of artefacts, when he opening some pictures. Its slow, and luggy. But for teenagers, it look “soooo cooool”. Linux is great system, but why do you want to make it look like windows? Try new GUI and new features. Dont copy windows (macs) ideas.

    That is a HUGE generalization!

I can name 2 Linux distros that are easier than windows 7 and Mac OS X

    they are

    QOS (linpus)
    and Chrome OS (google)

their is also Ubuntu witch I say would Qualify
as being as user friendly as windows

    (sorry for the repetitive “as”)

Once you install all codecs you can do all that Windows can & more.

Windows 7 just comes with mp3 & WMA decoders only. Mp3 is royalty free while WMA & WMV is not.

With Linux you can all mp4 (In many flavors), mp3, OGG, AAC, WMA, WMV, Quicktime Mov, Real & more.

Of course, you can pay royalties to the microsoft & real versions. Unless you add the codecs yourself.

That’s not a KDE problem. Media apps use libraries for their codecs and some distributions (like ubuntu) tend to ship without proprietary codecs. If you are online when trying to play a file, the codec will be downloaded automatically (just like Windows Media Player – just that wmp doesn’t open a new window). If you want a media player that just works, use a libavcodec-based one like vlc or mplayer (on any OS you want – they even work on windows!).

You can do this with EVERYTHING.
I have a non-standard skin on my XP and when is showed some stuff on my pc, they the skin and asked me if it was Windows 7.

I was just like: …. WTF … DUDE.

But like the people in the movie, they just dont care so much for OS’s or their pc’s

This dull fact is the one which distinguishes KDE from other operating systems. Its a simple one which should almost be common knowledge at this stage… or course it takes some people a while to reach the standard of common knowledge.

Regardless… they should notice that no Windows logos are present in the OS…. this currently IS common knowledge!

Filling in missing letters should be your job, nobody elses… I can’t believe you are trying to blame me for your bad english! xD

uneducated or just ignorants to something you know? the fact that they dont recognize something so trivial as the K standing for KDE doesent make them idiots, assuming they are idiots for ignoring such dull fact make you a retarded scum… and my other comment just was missing letters, but it is not a surprise you couldnt fill the spaces, really hard task for such a basic brain
