I already have my computers set up the sure approach as well as do not wish anything to shift – as distant as the arrangement goes. All my by-pass icons have been set up as well as organised in the really fit approach for myself so we do not have to poke for sure files/folders. Will upgrading to Windows 7 screw this up?

There is an option upon installing to just keep your files intact and installing the upgrade. So, it should not affect your desktop or files.

If you’re coming from Vista you can tell it to upgrade and it will move over your files, settings, and programs.
You can also back stuff like that up and readily restore them if you fresh install as recommended.

nothing will erase.. everything will be as it is.. settings/files/ even programs.. you just have to choose that option when running the upgrade.. do NOT choose fresh install since that will format your pc.. and run a clean version of windows 7..
Just incase anything happens you can also backup your files or settings on a hard drive partition or external hD
