How to install Windows 7 from a USB flash drive when no OS is present?
I’m gonna be building a new computer soon and I want to put Windows 7 on it. However, my current computer lacks a DVD burner, so my only option is to put the Windows 7 ISO file on a flash drive. How would I go about installing Windows 7 from a flash drive when the computer has no OS installed?

You’re going to need a computer that has some form of OS on it to download the Windows 7 Release Candidate and access the USB drive in the first place.
I assume you mean “when the computer has no DVD burner installed.”

Alternatively, you can use the HP tool described at the following to make the USB key bootable and simply extract the content of the .iso with something like WinRAR onto it:
