HOW MANY COMPUTERS CAN YOU INSTALL WINDOWS 7 ON, OFF OF ONE PRODUCT KEY FOR A WINDOWS 7 DOWNLOAD?
5Feb 2010
I am formulation to pre-order the Windows 7 Ultimate ascent download. we wasn’t certain if we paid for a single product pass if would work upon some-more than a single computer.
Windows used to be 1 copy per processor, but with the dual and quad core changes Microsoft have decided to offer a version which can be used on more than one machine.
I think the option is only available for the Ultimate version and again it is only a maximum of two physical machines!

All I could find was this from Microsoft:

Which is currently blank (7 Oct 2009) but is there for when their lawyers have finished the fine print.
Roll on 22 October when we can see it ourselves.

Normally they’re tied to one computer.
That’s why they do things like the family upgrade three pack they’re putting out in a couple weeks.
