as far as speed to load -i have set up 2 computers beside each other-1 with an old 2.4 gz p4 -1 g ram, running XP loading at start up , messenger, skype anti virus & a seperate anti spyware, as well as magic jack, -computer 2 is a duel core, 2.2gz 3 g ram no programs at all at start up – just windows 7- starting both computers at same time the older XP computer beats the new faster cpu with more & faster ram EVERYTIME!!! by nearly 15-20 seconds, on start up, so much for that myth of W-7

tip before up grading-DONT BE FOOLED -the excitement posted by many will soon become nothing but a headache, like the bullshit permissions nonsense, just to run certain common programs ,that waste time and do not work as they shoul ITS A NIGHTMARE i could also list several other problems , the only thing i find i like is the god mode folder you can set up on your desk top
