Answer by ez80227
you don’t make much sense.
you use multiple accounts (windows profiles) yourself on the same system?
for what?
so you can troll here w/ all open y/a accounts?
y/a limits access to multiple accounts on the same ip, ofr instance…

what exaclty are you trying ot accomplish?

Question by alex: How to use Windows XP “Quickly Consumer Switching” with a USB keyboard & mouse?
I employed to use Windows XP “Quickly Person Switching” funcionality very extensively on my outdated pc. My new computer has a USB keyboard and mouse rather of the standard PS/2. It seems that the USB keyboard/mouse is incompatible with Fast Consumer Switching even though. What transpires is that when the 2nd consumer logs in, the connection to the keyboard & mouse is apparently lost, and the laptop or computer is effectively “frozen” without keyboard or mouse management.

Is this normal? Is it only happening to my pc? Is there any simple way to repair it?

Thanks
I do not have an actual USB Keyboard & Mouse but really an older kbd/mouse with an adapter:

http://www.radioshack.com/products/index.jsp?summary=summary&techSpecs=techSpecs&currentTab=techSpecs&custRatings=custRatings&features=functions&equipment=equipment&productId=2103748&help=support&tab=equipment

Could that be the difficulty?

Very best response:

Response by imgarysomers
This is surely not standard, It sounds like a driver malfunction to where switching user modes, and having to reload driver’s and dll’s is creating the laptop or computer crash. I would Re-Set up the keyboard and mouse computer software and be sure and indicate in the installshield wizard you want that particular program to be offered for “anyone who makes use of the computer” ( just verify the radio icon and then move forward with the set up) In concept this need to fix the difficulty, If it does not I would advocate 1. Making an attempt a new keyboard and mouse or 2. Checking to see if there is some kind of spy ware program or other malicious application that is monitoring your keystrokes and therefore freezing your pc when switching person modes due to the fact of dual data transmission mistakes. Once again the two of these are quite common and are reasonably simple to resolve. If the issue nonetheless persists its an running technique malfunction and I would speak to your laptop or computer manufacturer for further, updates, return details or Free of charge tech help as it would be their difficulty. It could be as straightforward as a OS patch or as complicated as spy ware or windows keyboard supervisor registry settings.

Hope This Helps
Merry Xmas
The problem I am running into is programs which I’ve downloaded (i.e. Chrome, Firefox, AIM, Gtalk, etc..) do not appear when she is logged in. Is there anyway to get them to show for both user accounts without my having to download and install them twice? Thanks!
