Question by nara c: Windows XP “Malicious instrument elimination” update problem?
This morning I put in the latest update for Windows XP, a “malicious instrument elimination update”. I also had to concur to some type of “license agreement?” Following restarting, I was not able to accessibility the internet at all. I accessed the net just very good prior to I did this.( I have totally free AVG, and no cost Zonealarm.) So I employed technique restore, went back again to yesterday, and now I can access the web. Now I have that yellow sheild in my job bar, I’m scared to try out putting in this update again. I also observed that when I tried to access the Microsoft Update web site, (from my Plans checklist) for encouraged updates, I couldn’t. I have Windows XP, Serv. Pak 2, IE7. Any concepts on this? Thank you for any support.

Maybe the update prevents you on opening programs with malicous content that you require to allow it be scanned first.
