ok keep hearing how good steam so decided to get on and over the past few hours, it wont update or install, I tried many things and it wont remove the patch, do I have to do a clean install of windows, I get an error Steam.exe saying canceled, but the file is still there as a. someone help me, I just want this shit gone.

There is probably a bug in the update of steam. It is therefore stuck here for now. What can you secure network boot (restart the computer and hold down the F8 key, you start with a list of options), and try to improve or correct steam as usual. If it succeeds, you will be able to uninstall then.
