When i login or shut down I cant hear any music. I have a acer laptop. There is no problem with the sound card. I can play songs in windows media player and it works just fine. Its only the login and shutdown sounds. Please help on how i can enable them.

I don’t think this is very healthy for my HD because I use the PC almost all day, and it ends up shutting down and restarting all the time. Is there a place in the control panel where I can turn this timer off?
