Why does Windows 7 restart the entire installation process after it restarts from installing?

I’m trying to install Windows 7 and it says it will restart multiple times doing so. Well, when it restarts, my computer asks me to press any key to load from CD/DVD, and Windows 7 starts over.
Why?
