After running Windows XP for so many years, I finally decided to upgrade to Windows 7 Professional 64 bit along with installing a fresh new hard drive. This is the phase of upgrading my desktop computer. The first phase was back in September when I upgraded to a new mother board and processor. Now it’s time to upgrade the rest of the machine with a new hard drive and operating system. All is working great and I’m truly happy with the results. April 19, 2010.
In this easy-to-follow video, I show you how to partition, and un-partition a hard disk drive, using Windows 7. This process also works with Windows Vista as well, but does not work with Windows XP and below. I’ve been looking around to see how to do it, and I’ve been hearing that I need to partition everything on my current hard drive/os, and that I need to do a bunch of random stuff to register windows 7. I’ve just been wondering if it can be easier.
Can I just take out my current hard drive, put in my new one, load the W7 disc, and follow the installation instructions?
Or does it have to be more complicated?

In the past, I have seen Computers with Windows XP that have two partition. Some People like to have two partition, and others like to have one partition. I myself like to have one big C: Drive. So therefore one partition is ok with me! But why do some People like to have have two partitions in a 32 bit Windows XP?
I myself use the professional edition.
