Dual Boot Makes Low FPS?

When Windows is just the first of its hard drive, the multiplayer mode was good for my laptop @ medium settings. Having made a dual boot Windows and Xubuntu, I can not really play any maps in the multiplayer mode frame without serious lag (same settings as before).

Before: avg fps was between 47-59

Now: avg fps constantly hovering below 15

Should I just re-format the drive, and makes the Windows-only? Or, my hard drive is not it? I bought this laptop back in October, btw.

Dual Boot is not affecting you in any way. Only additional files to the HDD I’m sitting doing nothing while you start Windows.

You have to figure out what the problem is the control of common problems.

Note that SC2 is extremely demanding and vary wildly, based on how demanding map / game type.

Just a few things to check out to get you started:

1) Temperature, make sure that the CPU and GPU is not overheating due to suffocation.

2) Game Settings: Make sure that it is still what it used to be.

3) Video Drivers – Install new drivers to a fresh clean install method.

It is also important to make sure the max power mode and plugged into the wall for power. If you wanted to play with the battery and used a network game, the laptop does not implement the same in general it will force itself to a lower power mode saves energy.
