Ask: How to enable set instructions in the windows recovery console?
Question by Shane P: How to allow set instructions within the windows recovery console?
Ok so I was restarting my personal computer a single day and then this message comes up “Windows could not start off simply because the subsequent file is missing or corrupt: windowssystem32configsystem. You can try to restore this file by starting windows set up employing the unique setup cd-rom. decide on ‘r’ at the first screen to start off repair”. So I followed the guidelines on assistance.microsoft.com and insert the 6 boot disks and end up on the “Welcome to Setup” screen and pressed “r”. The recovery console loads and I start by typing md tmp and I get “Access is denied”. I go through close to the net that I should empower the set command and that I need to enable them whilst i can even now logon to the personal computer, but now I cant logon to the personal computer at all due to the fact everytime I restart I get the same error message. So what should I do to fix this difficulty? Please aid! (Im on Windows XP Property Version)
P.S. I dont know considerably about personal computers so can you make sure you check out to retain this as basic as achievable. Thank you.
