Hello, I am for the purchase of Windows 7 Home Premium on my girlfriends laptop (currently running XP Professional) thinking – and I’m a little bit about the differences between these two versions confused: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium – Licence and media – 1 PC – OEM – DVD – 32-bit – English – £ 75.29 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/173787ODER … Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium – complete package – 1 PC – DVD – English – £ 94, 99http: / / www.ebuyer.com/product/168373Sie has only used it to surf the Internet and play their music (Facebook, Twitter, iTunes, etc..) – I would only have the 32-bit version on their laptop computer, anywhere else. So the story instinct for me the cheaper (license and media) to go – but any advice would be very dankbar.Dank Best Answer: .
The answer

 Phlebob
far as I know, the two terms should mean the same thing, but I see a red flag on the first post: He says OEM. This means that it has been adapted for a particular computer hardware manufacturer and can for them. I would not touch it, especially since the description does not say what the manufacturer. It could be some truth in that, on the right brand and model of computer Tests.Hoffe that helps.

Query by x: What is the distinction amongst Windows seven “upgrade model” and Windows 7 “entire edition”?
I guess it seems like a silly issue as it looks fairly clear that one is just an upgrade and 1 is a total model … but how am I intended to know which a single to get? I at the moment have Windows Vista and I dislike it, can’t wait to get rid of it, so I am organizing on acquiring Windows seven shortly. The upgrade model is a whole lot cheaper than the full version … which version do I want, and how does it operate? How do I transfer all my programs, paperwork, etc from vista to Windows 7 when I acquire it and set up it?

Best reply:

Solution by Mercuri
The “upgrade” model needs an active Windows installation or disc. Given that you have Vista, the upgrade would perform for you, and you should not lose any documents or applications. The full edition permits you to install on a personal computer with out acquiring a past Windows installation.

Query by GT2: What’s the difference involving Windows seven “Anytime Upgrade”, “Upgrade Version” and “Total Version”?
The Windows seven Anytime Upgrade (Windows 7 Starter to Windows 7 House Top quality) is the most affordable one, shall I just acquire this one particular?

Finest answer:

Reply by Ben
No.

Windows seven Complete Version: you buy this if you do not have any duplicate of Windows on your computer, or if you want to operate two variations of Windows on the very same pc (virtual machine or dual-boot)

Windows 7 Upgrade: you acquire this if you have a earlier edition of Windows on your laptop or computer (Windows XP or Windows Vista) and approach on replacing that version of Windows with Windows seven.

Windows seven Anytime Upgrade: Enables you to upgrade from a single edition of Windows 7 to another.

There are four principal versions of Windows 7, each and every 1 with much more features than the very last. Windows 7 Starter (which you can’t buy in merchants- it comes preinstalled on some netbooks) cannot be personalized. You’re stuck with the Windows 7 Basic theme and the default qualifications (no Aero results). Windows seven Property Premium adds the visual results, the customization, tablet tools, the capacity to use much more than 2GB of RAM, Media center, and a couple of other assorted goodies. This is probably the edition you want to get. Windows 7 Expert adds some functions valuable for corporations, like remote desktop abilities. Windows 7 Final lets you rapidly change between languages and encrypt your challenging drive.
