iPad Clone – aPad Demonstration Part 2 – Upgrading Firmware

This is Part 2 of my aPad videos. This one focuses on upgrading the firmware to improve usability and overall system responsiveness. Update 09-10-10: For those interested in the latest Android 2.2 tablet, check out the new eLocity A7 Touchscreen 7-Inch Tablet. It features: 512 MB DDR2 RAM; NVIDIA Tegra II T‐20, 1GHz, 1MB L2 Cache, 4GB high speed internal Flash memory; 1.3MP camera, 802.11b/g wireless; Bluetooth; 1080p HDMI output; USB 2.0 port. It does carry a $369 price tag, but in terms of performance and warranty, it obliterates the aPad in this video. Check it out here: www.amazon.com Want an aPad? Get it here: www.amazon.com Here’s the Playlist for all of my aPad videos: www.youtube.com Requirements: Will only work with aPad Batch 2. Batch 2 has the webcam, Batch 1 doesn’t. Do not use for Batch 1. Windows OS, must be 32bit version. I used Windows XP. Charge aPad beforehand. Backup files, this will delete your aPad’s files. Download 1 aka “apad-flasher” folder: www.mycoretechs.com Download 2 aka “update.img”: www.mycoretechs.com Follow video instructions. Suggested readings: www.slatedroid.com Do this firmware update at your own risk. As with all custom firmware updates, there is a chance of “bricking” or damaging the system. Important note for this firmware, when the device sleeps and it wont wake up with the pressing of Home key, hold the Home key and press the power on button. go.tagjag.com – geeks.pirillo.com – RSS is powerful, for sure. I’ve been a fan of it since before it was supported natively within the web browser. I built a service called TagJag, where you can go to look for things you want to buy. It will generate RSS search feeds that you can subscribe to. http – live.pirillo.com Distributed by Tubemogul.
